Biography

Before joining Reisenfeld & Associates, Mr. Tarter served as senior litigation and risk management counsel at a national creditors’ rights law firm. He is a former Assistant Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Kentucky and Deputy General Counsel for the Kentucky Cabinet for Justice and Public Safety. For the past 15 years, Mr. Tarter’s practice has been focused upon defending creditors, banks, and automobile lenders in FDCPA, FCRA, TCPA, and Consumer Protection Act cases in state and federal trial and appellate courts. Mr. Tarter is a former member of the defense steering committee of the National Association of Retail Creditor’s Attorneys (NARCA).

Personal

Mr. Tarter resides in central Kentucky with his wife and children. He is active in the Boy Scouts of America, Blue Grass Region and regularly serves on Eagle Scout boards of review.
