Firm Promotes Healthy Lifestyles Among Employees

Cincinnati, OH – To promote healthy lifestyles among their employees, the law firm of Reisenfeld & Associates LPA, LLC, recently celebrated National Employee Health and Fitness Day on May 20, 2009.  The law firm recently launched the first annual “Get Reisenfeld Moving”, a firm-wide initiative promoting health and fitness in the workplace. By teaming up with the Cincinnati Sports Club and Humana to support the week’s events, Reisenfeld & Associates is demonstrating their commitment to employee wellness.

“National Employee Health and Fitness Day is a time for our employees to learn about how they can lead a healthy lifestyle and the importance of staying fit,” commented Brad Reisenfeld, Managing Partner. “Our employees need to recognize that regardless of their current fitness level, the firm encourages them to move more and get active with co-workers and family to improve their health, which will ultimately improve office productivity and service to our clients.”

The firm offered events focusing on bringing health awareness to the entire staff. Employees who attended were offered an online health assessment and other healthy lifestyle tips courtesy of Jill Lawall, the firm’s Humana customer service representative.

“It is admirable to see a company who focuses on engaging their associates in leading healthier lifestyles,” noted Jill Lawall. “I will be sure to use Reisenfeld & Associates as a role model when I discuss with other groups ways they can get their employees involved.”

Additionally, the Cincinnati Sports Club Fitness Manager, Janine Torres, demonstrated several stretches and exercises employees can and should do while sitting at a desk all day. The exercises are geared toward reducing stress while increasing energy levels. Janine also provided some nutritional tips for making healthy choices at lunch and the vending machines.

Wrapping up the week’s events, Brad Reisenfeld and other supervising attorneys led 60% of the staff in a 1.5 mile walk through a nearby neighborhood, followed by a healthy lunch provided by the firm. This event not only confirmed the firm’s commitment to employee wellness, but also promoted team building between departments.

“Our employees really took advantage of the resources we provided them,” said Jennifer Hester, Client Relations Manager. “These events were a great way to unite our firm and it was nice to have a week that concentrated on the employees and their health.”
